There might be twelve teams assembling in the USA to play in the CONCACAF Gold Cup this month, although bet365 don’t rate the chances of El Salvador, Guatemala, Cuba and Grenada, offering odds of 200/1 or bigger on the quartet winning.

As usual, it is Mexico and the USA who feature at the head of the market and bet365 make the former slight favourites despite the fact that this tournament is once again being played on American soil, with the final taking place in Pasadena.

Perhaps it is because Mexico are so keen to beat the States that they are given odds of 11/8, although many will also say they are a strong team who obviously include Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

The USA are 13/8 to claim victory and they will be looking for revenge after losing the Gold Cup final to the Mexicans two years ago. The 5-0 defeat was humiliating and Bob Bradley will be looking for his team to replicate some of their performances at the 2010 World Cup.

Honduras were the other CONCACAF nation featuring in the World Cup last summer and they did themselves justice in a tricky group including Spain. They are a 10/1 shot with bet365, while Costa Rica can be backed at 12/1 and Jamaica are 14/1.
